Projects, Crafts and awards....

At the moment my head is full of plans....... Plans for crafts I want to start, projects I wish to finish and a whole load of books I hope to enjoy! I don't know about you but I can spend hours on amazon looking for books, books on crafts, decorating, food and fiction. So much so in fact that I have decided I need a lap top, at the moment I am sitting at a computer stand on a not so comfortable chair......... oh how I long to sit on my sofa with a lap top on my knee drooling over your amazing blogs!

As I have been visiting you all, I noticed most of you have started back on your craft projects for the new year, this reminded me of the ones I have on the go, currently a Halloween door hanger, which I never did complete for Halloween, a Lizzie Kate Halloween Cross stitch and a Teresa Wentlzer 'Spring fairy' cross stitch from a season chart pack!

When I moved house last year I was working on the fairy, here is a photo of my progress so far.....It is from a Teresa Wentzler collection called four season fairies, they are beautiful and appear to have butterfly wings. I am planning to make her into a pillow for my favourite chair.........
As I mentioned in my last post I am hoping to take up knitting, I have had a go as a child but have not picked up needles for years, the first thing I did was visit amazon where I found quite a lot of interesting 'beginner' books. I think I may order one from amazon and see if my library has the others.

Here is the first book I hope to get.........

The Knitter's Bible: The Complete Handbook for Creative Knitters

Another book I found on Amazon is called warm Fuzzies, I don't think the crafts are all knitted but the book just looked so cute! I am definitely going to find this one......

Warm Fuzzies

Other amazing books I want........ even if my skills are not quite there yet, I am optimistic!

Awarded...........
I want to say thank you to Marie over at

Hi Priscilla, it certainly is that time of year when we set our sights on the projects and endeavors we hope to complete. I think it's great your taking oup knitting. I don't knit, but I do think about starting something like that, or crocheting. The "Warm Fuzzies" book looks very cute. Those cupcakes on the front are adorable. Congratulations on your awards! Happy New Year and I wish you the best on your projects.

Hi Priscilla

You are most welcome! Your awards are richly deserved.

I know what you mean about spending hours on amazon looking at the books! I placed an order at New Year and I'm still waiting because some of the books I ordered are not in stock.

Like you, I have unfinished craft projects including a cross stitch of the Shambles in York. This one is a challenge to work because most of it is in varying shades of brown! I had enough trouble trying to work out which was which as the instructions are rather vague. I also have an enormous coastal cross stitch sampler which I have yet to start, as I have not found a frame that is big enough.

Have a great week.

Thanks so much for the "you made my day" award. How very kind of you. I am having screen issues and have not been able to blog for a few days. But the pc tech is coming with new parts in the next few days...so yippee. Right now, my laptop is connected to another pc, making me able to type on laptop and read on screen of the other...weird, but is is working for the time being.
Thanks for sending others my way...will be blogging soon! Thanks again, Priscilla.

Hi Priscilla, Congratulations on the awards! They're fun aren't they!

I've been wanting to learn how to knit too. I find how to knit books confusing. Might just be me! I bought a DVD instead and it's pretty good because they show you the needles from you perspective looking down. So you might want to check into that.

Priscilla,

I have craft books I will probably never use, but I love to look at them. Enjoy your books, get done what you can and dream about crafts. I love the name of the book "Warm Fuzzies." It makes me think I need to have a cup of hot chocolate while looking at it. LOL!!

Awards are wonderful to receive and to pass on. I am so happy for you.

Take care
Teresa
